The Person:
My name is Kaylee. I'm a twenty-something-year-old college student in-between adventures (did you like all those hyphens?). I'm a fan of the color burgundy, giraffes, and peanut butter. I love the autumn and the spring, and I'm recently a fan of summer as well. I love Michael Jackson dancing and some of his songs, but I still think he's kind of creepy.
And... the rest I'm still figuring out.
The Project:
I'm starting a project.
It's a new year, and a fitting time, I believe, to start something that I've been wanting to do for a while now.
For the past 8 months, I've been completing internships of one sort or another for school and job requirements. For my most recent internship I've worked with a woman that has taken me under her wing and been a mentor and a friend to me. She has helped me in countless ways, both professional and personal. I think that's one of the amazing things about interning: having a mentor.
So for the year 2012, I've decided to start a mentorship with the Savior, Jesus Christ. Who better than Him to help me figure out my life in this changing and turbulent time? I've believed in Him my whole life, but it wasn't until just recently that I realized I know so very little about Him. The person I owe my whole life to is someone I don't really understand.
The Plan:
In an effort to correct that, each month I'm going to be studying something different about my Savior (and potentially more than one thing each month) so that I may come to know Him better, and through that, know myself better.
I've made a list a names for Jesus Christ (and a few other tidbits for good measure). By studying the words of prophets both ancient and modern, I'm going to study and learn as much as I can about the one who knows everything about me.
I'm writing the blog so I can share my discoveries and the things I learn. After all, He's your Savior, too. It won't be professional writing by any means. But it will be me, plain and simple.
Please feel free to comment and share your own thoughts. We learn by talking and sharing. I love comments. They help me know that I'm not just rambling to myself. =)
I hope you'll join me for my year with Christ.

K, so we've been super busy at work the past two weeks, which has greatly hindered my blogstalking. Can I just say that I absolutely love this idea? I think it is one of the coolest blog ideas I've ever seen, and I'm so excited to read it this year. Love ya tons!!!
